Russia’s great country and great
czar.
A Russian
leader is called a czar instead of a “king” or “emperor.” Peter the Great tried
to bring new ways and ideas to Russia. Peter the Great went places in Western
Europe such as Holland, Germany and England. Peter came back and made the men
cut off their beards and change their clothes. Peter built schools, canals,
started a newspaper and he built modern European capital and called it St. Petersburg.
History can be interesting when you make it fun.
