OH Presidents

In 2017 we would have 45 Presidents, we live in  a state called OHIO, where eight of the U.S Presidents came and were born.
William Henry Harrison lived in North Bend, OH, when became the ninth U.S President in the year 1841. He was the last U.S President to be elected from when the U.S was under British rule.
Ulysses S. Grant was the Commanding General of the Union Army in the civil war when he was elected as the 18th U.S President. Grant was born in Point Pleasant, OHIO. Grant served President in the year 1869 to the year 1877.
Rutherford B.Hayes lived in Delaware,OH, when he was elected as the 19th U.S President. Hayes also had pledged that he would only serve one term in the year 1877 to the year 1881.
James A. Garfield was living in Orange,OH, when he was elected as the 20th U.S President in the year 1881. Garfield was struck by an assassin’s bullet just 100 days after when he became President.
Benjamin Harrison lived in North Bend, OH, when he was elected as the 23rd U.S President in the year 1889 to the year 1893. Harrison is the grandson of William Henry Harrison, the ninth U.S President, and the great-grandson of Benjamin Harrison senior, a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
William McKinley lived in Niles,OH, when he took office as the 25th U.S President in the year 1897 to the year 1901. McKinley became the second President from OHIO to be assassinated.
William H.Taft lived in Cincinnati,OHIO when he was elected as the 27th U.S President in the year 1909 to the year 1913.Taft wanted not only to be the U.S President, but the Chief Justice of the United States.
Warren G. Harding lived in Corsica, OH, when he was elected as the 29th U.S President in the year 1921 to the year 1923.Harding was serving his first term two years from when he took office, when he died of a heart attack on August second, 1923.

OH Presidents

Out of forty five of the United States Presidents eight came from Ohio. The first one to come from Ohio was William Henry Harrison and he was the ninth President in office. He was born in Virginia but called North Bend, Ohio home. He served for one month before dying in office in 1841.
   The second President to come from Ohio was Ulysses S. Grant and he was the eighteenth President in office.He was born in Point Pleasant, Ohio. He served from 1869-1877.
   The third President to come from Ohio was Rutherford B. Hayes and he was the nineteenth President in office. He was born in Delaware, Ohio. He served from 1877-1881.
     The fourth to come from Ohio was James A. Garfield and he was the twentieth President in office. He was born in Moreland Hills, Ohio. He served from March-September 1881.
      The fifth President to come from Ohio was Benjamin Harrison and he was the twenty-third President in office. He was born in North Bend, Ohio. He served from 1889-1893.
       The sixth President to come from Ohio was William McKinley and was the twenty-fifth President in office. He was born in Niles, Ohio. He served from 1897-1901.
       The seventh President to come from Ohio was William Howard Taft and he was the twenty-seventh President. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He served from 1909-1913.

        The eighth President to come from Ohio was Warren G. Harding and was the twenty-ninth President in office. He was born in Blooming Grove, Ohio. He served from 1921-1923.
