A Review of "Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims"

by Esther

Have you ever heard of a talking horse that can time travel into history? Well, wait no more, the book "Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims" is here.

The characters are Rush, Liberty, Tommy and Freedom. Rush is a substitute who teaches history at Manchester Middle School. Liberty is a time travelling horse who loves to eat. Tommy is a football player who gets in trouble. Freedom is a girl who can talk to the minds of animals. The setting takes place in the Mayflower, when they were going to the new world to get away from King James.

Rush Limbaugh was born in Missouri and is sixty-two. His father was a judge who encouraged his children to learn as much as they could about politics. Rush also wrote political books.

The book "Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims" is a good book to read and so I would recommend this book to other kids to read.

Acrostic Poem

by Nicole

Nifty, nice, naughty
Is how my family sees me.
Colorful, caring, crying
Our many little things.
Listening, learning, laughing
Every day I'm like that.

Real or Fake

by Hannah

Real or Fake, that is the question. Kids say there isn't a day called St. Nick's Day. They even say it's a myth. But it's not a myth, it's real, they're wrong.

Even if the kids are wrong, they're not, the calendar makers are wrong. But I'm pretty sure they haven't heard anything about St. Nick's eve and day. The reason is that no one has heard of the story of St. Nick.

Now I told you about a special day.

St. Nick was walking past a few houses, then realizing some families are poor and some are rich. So every night he leaves fruits and nuts in wooden shoes.

He is remembered on a day called St. Nick's day.

Bullied

by Hannah

I was always bulled since the beginning of kindergarten. It was depressing being bullied. It made me feel horrible and sad.

This started on the bus, when a few boys took my scarf and played tug-o-war with it and gave it back laughing. I was upset. It continued in 1st, 2nd and kindergarten.

Then it got worse. A boy called me names when I was wearing my hat. That was in 3rd and 4th grade. In 4th the name calling got worse.

He said I don't have a great voice or I'm ugly. It made me feel horrible.

When my mom found out that I was bullied she pulled us out and put us into homeschooling. It made all of us happy.

The Horses Are Coming!

by Hannah

The horses are coming, the horses are coming. Yes, I know funny and weird, but they're really are coming. It's the 26 annual of the Christmas Parade. They're all different horses and fun floats, even a Grinch in Jail float pulled by 4 small horses. It's cute and funny at the same time.
We have been invited to a party from a friend of ours. I think there's hot coco with marshmallows in the hot coco or Christmas cookies.

The St. Nick Hunt

by Nicole

When I first woke up I went to wake up Esther. I found Esther's  stocking and so I went to find mine's. I thought I found mine's but I found Hannah's instead and couldn't find mine's. Then I  found mine's at the side of my bed. Esther started first without us but Hannah and me caught up to Esther but I came in first after I found more chocolate.

St. Nick's Day

St. Nick's Day is the time we put out our stockings to get gifts and candy. Best of all we get to share  with our  family what we got.  St. Nick is someone who gives  gifts to kids  who will share with other kids.   St. Nick gave me all the stuff for school that was for home also some goggles that were blue. My sisters got pink and black goggles.  St. Nick also rides a horse to get all the houses in one night like someone else.  St. Nick can also give candy and chocolate to kids  who are nice to others. Now it is time I tell you about the best part looking in your stocking for gifts to give to your mom and dad.                              THE END
