Arizona is known for the grand canyon. Arizona's capitol is Pheonix and Arizona's nickname is the grand canyon state. The state bird is the cactus wren and the state butterfly is the two tailed swallowtail butterfly. Arizona's state flower is the saguaro cactus blossom and the state tree is the Paloverde. The state fossil is petrified wood. Arizona's state motto is Ditat Deus which means God enriches and the state song is the "Arizona March Song ". Arizona got its statehood on February 14, 1912 and the state's abbreviation is AZ. The state gem is turquoise and the state colors are blue and old gold. Arizona's state mammal is the ringtail and the state reptile is the Arizona ridge nose rattlesnake. The state fish is the apache trout and the state amphibian is the Arizona tree frog. Arizona's most popular natural wonders are the grand canyon, petrified forest, painted desert, sunset crater, saguaro national park and the Colorado River. The Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona is where Clyde Tombaugh discovered the dwarf planet Pluto in 1930. Arizona is home to 23 Native American reservations representing 21 different tribes.

Pennsylvania is one of the historic states in the U.S., especially being one of the original thirteen states and having many historic monuments in Gettysburg. Did you know that Pennsylvania's state flag is a square, blue, has the State Coat and Arms on it, has two horses, one on each side, and an America eagle rests on top of the State Coat and Arms. Also, did you know that Pennsylvania's governor is Tom Wolf. Pennsylvania is home to 12.79 million people which makes this state the 33rd largest, the 6th most populous, and the 9th most densely populated state in America. A cool fact about Pennsylvania is that its capitol is Harrisburg. Did you know that Pennsylvania's two nicknames are the Keystone state and the Quaker state but I usually call it the Quaker state. Another cool fact about this state is that it has part of the Appalachian Trail through its middle. A fun fact about Pennsylvania that thin state's motto is Virtue, Liberty, and Independence. Another fun fact about Pennsylvania is that Pennsylvania makes steel and trains. A awesome fact about this state is that it's located in the northern and Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. Did you know that Pennsylvania is bordered by six other states: New York to the north; New Jersey to the east; Delaware to the southeast; Maryland to the south; West Virginia to the southwest; and Ohio to the west. Another awesome fact about this state is that it was the second state to ratify the U.S. Constitution. Did you know that Pennsylvania is home to one of the largest manufactures of chocolate, Hershey. The state of Virginia has many local legends, but first let's tell you when Virginia became a state.
Virginia became a state on June twenty- fifth 1780. Virginia's state bird is the cardinal and the state plant is the American dogwood.
Virginia' first Capital was Williamsburg, but that was from 1699 to 1780.Virginia's second Capital is Richmond.
Virginia has a local legend that takes the two main versions. The book called Weird U.S by Mark Moran and Mark Sceurman explains the legend better. In Northern Virginia there is a bridge called the Bunnyman bridge that puts the two main versions to the test. One involves a teenager killing his family one Easter and then hanged himself off the bridge in a bunny costume. That version does seems less likely than the one about a mental patient who escaped from a bus that was transporting patients. He hid in the woods, and when people started to find rabbit carcasses around the bridge. When some teenagers were found gutted, hanging from the bridge, the local authorities put out a manhunt for the Bunnyman. Eventually they caught up with him, but just as they were about to apprehend him, he jumped in front of a train.
